Payroll Protection Program (PPP)

As communicated previously, The Lundquist Institute received funding from the federal government’s Payroll Protection Program (PPP).  Instructions are being sent to Investigators detailing the process for applying PPP funds for their payroll and benefit costs.  With the exception of SLAHP and Options for Recovery , PPP funds will provide employees directly affected by the COVID-19 situation with their regular pay for the balance of this fiscal year (June 30, 2020).

Continuation of COVID-19 Policies & Procedures

In our March 16th communiqué, The Lundquist Institute announced that all non-essential personnel  - whether in an administrative, research or other function - were to stay home until further notice.  Nothing has changed since this announcement was made and the Institute is continuing to follow these same requirements.  Essential personnel who are on campus must continue to wear a face mask at all times (unless in a private office with a closed door), practice social distancing and maintain  good hygiene practices. Please review the March 16th Communique to re-familiarize yourself with these requirements.

Resumption of Operations

There is much in the news these days about reopening.  As communicated previously, The Lundquist Institute is forming a multi-functional Task Force to develop specific procedures to be used for reducing the current restrictions.  Any reduction of restrictions or reopening of Lundquist operations will be based on science with the priority being the safety and health of our stakeholders.  Our plans will be based on the needs of The Lundquist Institute and may not be on the same timetable as the plans put forth by local, state and federal governments.  We will notify you as soon as any Lundquist Institute plans have been finalized, although keep in mind that fluid situations demand fluid solutions.  So we will remain flexible to anticipate any/all eventualities.
